Merit is a collection of framed merit badges that highlights small ironies around identifying as a nature lover and how performative nature loving ultimately points back to our own humanness. Mounted on fabric cut from shower curtains printed with idealized nature scenes, the badges show how “loving” nature can be commodified, collected, and performed. ​
